I wish I could just major in Doctor Who
I am writing my rhetoric honors project on Doctor Who! I feel like I am getting away with some sort of crime. OH HO HO, SILLY TA, DON’T YOU KNOW THAT WRITING ABOUT TELEVISION ISN’T REALLY “AN EXTENSION OF MY WORK”?
Fun Fact 1: the only ‘A’ I got on my last semester of college was on “Technology and Cultural Form: Television.” We used Doctor Who as the basis of discussion. I took this along with my thesis, on which I did not get an ‘A.’
Fun Fact 2: However! My thesis was also on television. I wrote about Angela Chase, Buffy Summers, and Veronica Mars. It was supposed to be on design, which probably explains the non-A, because I totally would have gotten an ‘A’ if it were for Media Studies or something. Maybe.
Question 1: Why are you guys friends with a dork like me?
Question 2: No, seriously?
Connections between Björk's "Unravel" & Doctor Who:
- R: alam mo namang
- R: when you are away
- R: my hearts comes undone
- R: slowly unravel
- R: like a ball of yarn
- R: (okay ang haba. haha)
- C: OMG YOU ARE A TIME LORD?
No kidding! September is going to be a Month of Suffering, I can tell. But I just really want to fit into my clothes better and not feel bad about showing my face to the world.
One of the times I wish Doctor Who were real, I guess. Except I remember what happens to the fat, and then I think, never mind. I don’t want to unknowingly give birth to adipose babies.

Doctor Who’s ‘crack’ is discovered by NASA in the middle of the Milky Way
Daily Galaxy’s picture of the day reveals the huge MacGuffin in space
For those of you following this year’s season of Doctor Who, this picture of the day makes for some rather disturbing viewing. It appears that the constellation Sagittarius is featuring a huge stellar bit of graffiti.
And it looks rather like the crack in the Universe that’s been following Matt Smith and Karen Gillan around this year’s story.
So what is this crack? it’s “the core of a thick, sooty cloud large enough to swallow dozens of solar systems and may be harboring beastly stars in the process of forming.”
That’s ominous – a star devouring gap in the middle of the night sky… someone better call for The Doctor!
Thanks to the posters on Gallifrey Base.
To me, Van Gogh is the finest painter in the world. Certainly, the most popular great painter of all time, the most beloved. His command of color, the most magnificent. He transformed the pain in his tormented life into ecstatic beauty. Pain is easy to portray, but to use your passion and pain to portray the ecstasy and joy and magnificence of our world—no one had ever done it before. Perhaps, no one ever will again. To my mind, that strange, wild man who roamed the fields of Provence is not only the world’s greatest artist, but also one of the greatest men who ever lived.
"Vincent & the Doctor," Doctor Who.
ROSE: But I can’t die. Tell me I can’t! I haven’t even been born yet, it’s impossible for me to die! Isn’t it?!
THE DOCTOR: I’m sorry.
ROSE: But it’s 1869, how can I die now?
THE DOCTOR: Time isn’t a straight line. It can twist into any shape. You can be born in the 20th century and die in the 19th and it’s all my fault. I brought you here.
ROSE: It’s not your fault. I wanted to come.
THE DOCTOR: What about me? I saw the fall of Troy! World War Five! I pushed boxes at the Boston Tea Party, now I’m going to die in a dungeon! In Cardiff!
ROSE: It’s not just dying. We’ll become one of them. We’ll go down fighting, yeah?
THE DOCTOR: Yeah.
THE DOCTOR: Yeah! [they link hands] I’m so glad I met you.
ROSE: Me too.

Nine, I was just thinking about you.
Omg these are actual statues in a Columbus Cemetery.. I’d be worried if I were them!
“This is the most photographed monument in Friendship Cemetery in Columbus, MS. The monument is named “the Weeping Angel”. When the pastor of a local Baptist church died, it was such a sad day that the angels wept.”
There called weeping angels, actual.. weeping.. angels! This is actually creepy.. I can imagine it looking up and moving.. weeping angels, scariest who monsters ever!
