I’m thinking if I should go. I mean it’s a two or three-day drive. I don’t mind the drive but it would be really cool if someone kept me company.

I CAN VOUCH FOR MARB. He lives in California, and is looking for someone to drive to Texas with to watch Arcade Fire + explosions in the sky (as I assume you have deduced from what preceded this long-ass, unneeded wall of text).
SO THERE. If you feel like making a new friend and watching two amazing bands play together in Texas (forever!), drop him a line. I promise he is very easy to get along with, and I imagine him to be a great road trip mate because a) he can talk about a lot of things, b) he likes good music so you can listen to that if you don’t feel like talking, c) he can drive!
WHY AM I DOING THIS: Because I feel like shit about not being able to see that show and Marb (who has been away for nearly a year), and because I kind of feel like it is possible to meet decent people over the Internet, and it is possible to make genuine connections, even though they happen rarely (as the Internet is full of actual, un-funny creepers and pedos and pervs).
I’d really like to believe that it is.
